Plans are underway by the Federal government to construct a world class military hospital with sophisticated medical equipment and services in the country.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Defence, Dr Abubakar Kana, mni who confirmed the development in Abuja on Wednesday, said the Federal Government has mapped up strategies and modalities for the construction of the world class medical facility to cater for the military Personnel, Veterans and their families.
As part of steps taken to achieve this, the Ministry of Defence is organising a workshop on reforming the Military Health Services in Nigeria.
The workshop which is billed to hold at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, in Abuja on Thursday, will be chaired by the Minister of Defence, Major General Bashir Salihi Magashi (rtd).
It will also have in attendance, the Chief of Defence Staff and Service Chiefs, as well as the US Ambassador to Nigeria and strategic health partners.
