Ahead of the inauguration of the Cabinet this week, President Muhammadu Buhari, may have penciled down no fewer down 20 Permanent Secretaries for sack.
Prompt News gathered on Monday that most of the affected Permanent Secretaries had at one time or the other soiled their hands during the regime of the immediate past administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.
Confirming this, a source in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, said “I am sure you are aware that the current Head of Civil Service of the Federation (HoS) is number 25 in ranking as permanent secretary prior to her present appointment.
“You will agree with me that it is only right that her seniors, 24 of them should retire so that they don’t sabotage her effort.
“For Mr. President to pick the number 25th person on the perm sec ranking, you should know there is more to it,” the source who declined to be named told Prompt News.
It will be recalled that President Buhari, a couple of weeks ago, appointed Mrs. Winifred Ekanem Oyo-Ita, who became permanent secretary barely two years ago as the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.
