Following the approval of the President Muhammadu Buhari, the reconstituted Governing Councils of the Nigeria Institute of Social and Economic Research (NISER) and the Centre for Management Development (CMD), will be inaugurated by the Minister of State for Finance, Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Agba on Thursday.
According to a statement by the Ministry’s Director of Information, Mrs. Folasade Boriowo on Wednesday, members of the Governing Council of NISER include: Dr. Emmanuel O. Imafidon (Chairman), Dr. Hauwa V. Ibrahim, Professor Banji Oyelaran-Oyeyinka, Sabiu Zakan, Kalli Gazali, Professor Benedict N. Akanegbu, and Felicia I. Onibon
Other members are the Director of the Institute; the Permanent Secretary; the Federal Ministry of Industries or his representatives; the Director (Macro) in the Ministry of Budget and National Planning; the Statistician General; of the National Bureau of Statistics; and the Director of Research, Central Bank of Nigeria.
On the Governing Council of CMD, the membership comprises Mrs. Binta F. Shuaibu (Chairman), Barrister Marie O. Idaomi, Professor Muhammed A.Mainoma (mni), Mr. Olawale Joseph Ademola, and Mr. Bitrus D. Chinoko (INCUMBENT Director General of the Centre).
The membership of the Council of CMD also consists of a representative from each of the following: Ministry of Budget and National Planning; National Universities Commission; Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association; National Youth Service Corps; Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation; Industrial Training Fund; and Central Bank of Nigeria.
