The Electoral Committee of Federal Capital Teritory Football Administration (FCT FA) has extended the sale of nomination forms to 25th May, 2023 and consequently adjusted its time-table for the election.
The decision was reached after an emergency meeting of the electoral umpire following appeals from football stakeholders in the territory against the initial deadline of 17th May, 2023.
The Committee resolved that returning of completed nomination form is now on or before 27th May, 2023. Screening of candidates 28th May, 2023 to 29th May, 2023. Displaying the list of qualified and unqualified candidates 30th May, 2023. Appeals by the disqualified candidates 1st June, 2023 to 3rd June, 2023. Sitting for the appeals 5th June, 2023 to 6th June, 2023 while the decision of the appeal is 10th June, 2023.
The Chairman of the Committee, Barr. Audu Muhammed Lawal maintained that the date of the election, 17th June, 2023 billed for Bwari area council remains sacrosanct.
