Chilobem Onuoha has linked up with Bundesliga 2 outfit, FC Cologne.
The Nigerian-born midfielder moved to Cologne from Bundesliga giants, RB Leipzig’s youth team.
Onuoha will however spend the the 2024/25 season on loan at third division club, SC Verl.
“In terms of his talent potential, Chilo brings with him a fairly complete package of athletic and technical skills,” managing director Christian Keller told the club’s official website.
“Our task now will be to get him used to the greater challenges in men’s football as best as possible and to develop quality from his potential. With the loan to Verl, we have made a good start and will support Chilo intensively during the loan.”
Onuoha revealed the reason behind his decision to join Cologne.
“I chose Cologne because I felt a lot of trust in the discussions. I also have the opportunity to develop myself here,” he told the club’s official website. READ ALSO:

“I have friends in Cologne who have been following the club for a long time and who have told me a lot about the club. I really want to be able to play in the RheinEnergieSTADION one day and will work hard to achieve this goal.”
