As part of the ongoing effort to reposition the apparatus of government for effective service delivery, Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose Tuesday relieved all the Local Government Education Secretaries of their appointments.
According to a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Idowu Adelusi, the sack takes immediate effect.
The statement further directed the affected LGE Secretaries to handover to the next person to them.
Adelusi’s terse statement reads, “The Ekiti State Governor, Mr Peter Ayo Fayose has ordered the sack of all the local government education secretaries.
“The sack takes immediate effect and that the affected secretaries are to hand over government property in their care to the officers next to them.
Prompt News recalls that immediately after taking over the affairs of the State, Mr. Fayose had dissolved the caretaker committees of all the Local Government Areas (LGAs) and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) created at the twilight of Governor Kayode Fayemis’ government.
