Ekiti State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Mr. Peter Ayodele Fayose has said that votes from Ado Local Government will determine who wins the June 21 governorship poll just as he assured teachers in the state of restoring their dignity.
Fayose who on Friday continued the ward to ward campaign tour of Ado Local Government said while addressing huge crowd of supporters at Ward 11 that God has placed that power on Ado Ekiti due to the large population of people residing in the ancient city.
According to a press statement issued by Fayose’s spokesman, Mr. Idowu Adelusi and made available to the press in Ado Ekiti on Friday, the PDP candidate urged people in Ado particularly the indigenes to vote en mass for him for transforming the state capital.
Fayose recalled that he opened up Ado and Ekiti State for development, stressing that dualisation of Ado Ekiti township road, construction of roads within Ado; construction of shopping mall at Ajilosun; Afao and Ikere roads housing estates; markets and renovation of Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado were done by him.
He also mentioned the new Governor’s Office building, Adetiloye Hall, Fountain Motel constructed by him, adding that they had added to the beauty of the town aside dualisation of all entry points into Ado Ekiti.
Fayose also recalled that he was very faired to Ado as offering of employment is concerned when he was governor of the state.
While thanking Ado people for the love they have for him, he pleaded with them to transfer the love into block vote for him, promising to do more for Ado if he becomes the governor again.
Also at the spotless Hotel, Ado Ekiti where retired teachers in Ekiti State had converged to pledge their support for Fayose on Thursday, he assured the teachers of more recognition by the government he would run.
However, Fayose urged them to go and collect their voter’s card if actually they want him back.
According to his Media aide, Idowu Adelusi, Fayose also urged them to protect their cards.
