Super Falcons Captain, Evelyn Nwabuoku on Monday joined her mates to endorse the “protect the goal campaign” at the National Stadium, Abuja.
Coordinated by the National Agency for Control of Aids, the campaign’s partners are UNAIDS, UNFPA, the National Sports Commission (NSC) and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
“Football is a powerful force of unity in the world, and driving this kind of vent based on football is very unique
“As footballers we are human too so caution should not be thrown to the winds, we must all join hands to protect our goals and discrimination against women must stop” Evelyn stated.
She however applauded the effort of the organizers and promised to relay the message to her team mates.
Meanwhile, Super Falcons intensified training as preparation for AWC qualifier against Rwanda hots up.
The players in camp are giving their best as they all want to make the cut for the Rwanda game. The urgency in their playing pattern and manner of marking the ball is sign of good things to come.
Coach Edwin Okon has again sounded the warning that there will not be room for unfit, unserious and under-performing players.
