By Harry Awurumibe Victorious Falconets of Nigeria are back in the country after beating the Tanzanites 6-0 on Sunday in Dar es Salaam in the return leg match of FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup African qualifiers.
The team which touched down on Tuesday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe lnternational Airport Abuja by 12 pm local time.
They defeated Tanzanians 3-0 in the first leg match played at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium Benin City Edo State a fortnight ago.
Nigeria has now qualified for the next round on 9-0 goals aggregate.
Speaking to the players at their Abuja camp on arrival, Leader of Delegation, Babagana Kalli, an NFF Executive Board member, commended the players for the big win away from home and their good conduct.
He therefore promised them that the NFF will continue to take their welfare very serious.
