The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) says it plans to organise a conference aimed at attracting local and international investors into Nigeria’s aviation industry.
Mrs Henrietta Yakubu, the General Manager, Corporate Affairs of FAAN, made this known on Tuesday in Lagos.
Yakubu said in a statement that the conference would be a catalyst for investments and national economic development.
According to her, it also aims at addressing the future of Nigerian airports.
She said the event would equally acquaint the participants with investment opportunities in the Nigerian aviation industry.
The general manager noted that the conference tagged: “National Aviation Conference” would hold from April 1 to April 4 in Abuja.
“The conference’s theme is: “Advancing the Frontiers of Possibilities for Safe, Secure and Profitable Air Transport.”
“The conference is aimed at providing a veritable platform for brainstorming, sharing of knowledge and ideas on contemporary developments in the global aviation industry.
“The conference will bring together captains of industries, top government functionaries, seasoned aviation experts and key stakeholders.
“The Minister of Aviation, Sen. Hadi Sirika, state governors and chief executives of aviation agencies are expected to attend the conference,’’ she said.
Yakubu said other speakers at the event are Ms Yewande Sadiku, Otunba Segun Runsewe, Nick Fadugba, Capt. Roland Iyayi, Dr Anne Eyinnaya-Egbadon and Mr Peter Onyeri, among others. (NAN)
