Everton has confirmed that Alex Iwobi will be out for around three weeks due to injury, reports Prompt News.
The Nigeria international sustained the injury in the Toffees 3-1 Emirates FA Cup win against Manchester United.
“Alex Iwobi expected to be out for around three weeks with the ankle ligament injury sustained against Manchester United on Friday,” reads a statement on the club’s official website.
“The Everton midfielder was taken off on a stretcher early in the second half of the FA Cup tie at Old Trafford.
“Scan results on Saturday confirmed a lateral ligament injury that will be managed conservatively by the Club’s medical team at Finch Farm.”
Iwobi has made 18 league appearances for the Merseysiders this season.
