There are indications that former Tottenham star Dele Alli’s career could get jump-started next season in the Premier League.
This is thanks to a special clause in the deal between Tottenham and Everton, which was made when the English midfielder joined the Toffees.
Alli has seen his ratings desperately drop in recent years, and has been unable to cement his place at Everton since moving to Goodison Park in January 2022.
A combination of injuries and off-field issues has seen Alli’s stint in Turkey with Besiktas filled with drama, and he ended up making just 17 appearances, scoring only three goals.
Reports from Turkey further suggested that Alli was banned from the squad by manager Senol Gumes, amid suggestions from the club’s president that he did not live up to expectations.

As reported by the Sun, Dele Alli is determined to get his career back on track, and the first step towards achieving this will be getting in manager Sean Dyche’s good books.
Everton are caught between a rock and a hard place as far as Alli is concerned because of a clause in the agreement with Tottenham when they took up the midfielder.
The Toffees will reportedly have to pay Tottenham £10 million if Alli makes 20 appearances for the club, according to The Times.
The 27-year-old has already played 13 times in an Everton shirt, and Everton could be £10 million short if he makes seven more appearances.
Given Everton’s financial issues, Alli could end up getting loaned out yet again if he manages to make it 20 appearances for the Merseyside club.
Everton are currently in financial turmoil and losing £10 million would likely set them back, prompting the need to sell or loan out Alli to balance their books. – SPORTS BRIEF
