A renowned Estate valuer, Mr Biosun Lawal has urged professionals in the industry to embrace professionalism and adhere strictly to professional ethics in discharging their services.
Lawal said it has become imperative for Estate Valuers to eschew any act that is inimical to the development of the profession.
He added that The Nigerian Institute of Estate Valuers (NIESV) remains the umbrella body that regulates the activities of professionals in the industry.
Lawal who is the Principal Partner of Biodun LaWal Consulting, a firm of Chartered Estate Surveyors and Valuers said malpractices against the profession are committed by quacks who give the profession a bad name.
He urged property owners to patronize professionals and not deal with fraudulent individuals.
Lawal affirmed that property management and advisory service scan only be provided by professionals with expertise and technical knowhow.
