Coach of Malawi, Tom Seinfeitn stated that his contract with the Malawian Football Federation has come to an end as he failed to guide the Flames to the last play-off round of the Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifier.
Saintfeit made this known at a press briefing after his team lost 2-0 to the Super Eagles in Calabar.
“My brief was to qualify Malawi to qualify for the world cup and since I could not achieve that my appointment ends by midnight on Saturday 7th”.
“Coming into the game, I wanted to maintain a goalless score line going into the halftime as this will make the Eagles jittery at the second half”
“That goal at the 44minute was the end of the dream for me and that means it is all over now”
The Belgian coach, who was initially contracted by Nigeria Football Federation as Technical Director however congratulated the Super Eagles, wishing them luck for the next stage as he pray they qualify for the world cup proper.
