Ekiti State Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Tope Aluko has been accused of working for the All Progressives Congress (APC) government in the state.
The Ikere PDP Youths Movement (IPYM), which made the allegation in a statement issued on Monday and signed by its Chairman, Wole Adebayo and Secretary, Biola Morakinyo, described Aluko as “a mole” in the Ekiti PDP.
The IPYM berated the State Secretary for working against the interest of the South Senatorial District of the State, adding that he (Aluko) was doing so as part of his contract with the APC government.
It said the likes of Aluko, who are pretending to be supporting a discredited governorship aspirant that will be charged for murder should he emerge as the PDP candidate were only doing what their paymasters in the APC directed them to do.
“The truth is that Mr. TKO Aluko is on the payroll of Governor Kayode Fayemi. He receives his monthly pay from the N6 million that Fayemi’s Chief of Staff, Yemi Adaramodu gets from the governor’s security vote.
“We all remember how he, alongside Mr. Amire Kolade went to appear on Channels Television on the bill of the State Government last year June. Aluko and Amire were paid N1 million each to run down the PDP and Amire, who claimed to be a PDP member on Channels Television that day is now a Senior Special Assistant in the State Governor’s office.
“We are aware that TKO Aluko has been assured of a place in Fayemi’s government after he must have completed his assignment of destroying the PDP and making sure that a discredited candidate is picked as the party’s governorship candidate.
“The in-fighting in the State Exco was the handiwork of TKO Aluko in connivance with Fayemi’s Chief of Staff.
“We therefore warn the PDP of the danger in allowing a character like TKO Aluko to play any role in the selection of the party’s candidate, because a man who could sell his own House of Representatives mandate for N16 million can sell the entire PDP if the price is right,” the IPYM said.
