In its tradition of keeping to the rule and in accordance with the Timetable and Schedule of Activities issued last year, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) through its office in Ekiti State has pasted the “Notice of Election” for the Ekiti State Governorship Election slated for June 2022.
This information was made available to journalists on Tuesday by Rotimi Lawrence Oyekanmi, Chief Press Secretary to INEC Chairman Professor Mahmood Yakubu, who said the Notice of Election for the Ekiti State Governorship Election has been published and pasted on the notice board in the premises of INEC in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti state capital.
“The Commission’s office in Ekiti State yesterday (Monday) pasted the “Notice of Election” for the Ekiti State Governorship Election holding in June this year on its notice board”.
“This is in accordance with the Timetable and Schedule of Activities issued last year”, Oyekanmi said in a terse statement.
Prompt News reports that by the release of “Notice of Election” for the Ekiti State Governorship Election by INEC, the battle for who will succeed the incumbent Governor Dr. Kayode Fayemi of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has begun.
