Chidera Ejuke has said becoming the first Nigerian to sign for LaLiga club Sevilla is a big deal for him.
Ejuke linked up with the Rojiblancos on a three-year contract on Monday.
The winger joined Sevilla on a free transfer after running down his contract at Russian club, CSKA Moscow.
The 26-year-old is also hopeful his arrival at the club will help him get international recognition again.
“It is special to be the first Nigerian here. I think I feel good being part of this team and I am looking forward to seeing what I can contribute to the team,” he told the club’s official website.
“I also hope to be able to back with Nigeria, because obviously it’s always nice to represent your country, so I hope it’s time to do it again and I’m also very excited.”
Ejuke added: “Everything has been very fast. I am happy and very excited to be part of this family and I am looking forward to doing many, many great things that we can achieve here . READ ALSO:
