Presidential aspirant on the platform of the Alliance for New Nigeria, ANN, Mr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim has called on Nigerians to embrace love, peace, togetherness, compassion and sacrifice as Muslim faithful mark the Eid-el-Kabir.
In a statement issued yesterday in Abuja, Olawepo – Hashim said “It is the season of love, peace, togetherness and sacrifice as Muslim faithful across Nigeria and the world mark the Eid-El-Kabir festival in honour of a holy prophet.
“I extend my greetings to all Muslims for this joyous occasion and congratulate those who participated in the holy pilgrimage of Hajj in Mecca.”
He stated that “The lessons of Eid are that of sacrifice and compassion, and Nigerians have continued to exhibit these two virtues despite our difficult economic and social difficulties.”
He urged all “our Muslim brothers and sisters to put Nigeria in their prayers for the birth of a new Nigeria that beckons on us.”
According to him, “Only a new Nigeria can guarantee our safety and prosperity and with the help of the Almighty Allah and your prayers during this holy season, our mission for a new Nigeria will be realised come 2019.
“On this great day and in this holy season, may the Almighty Allah fill you with joy and may our great country, your home and your family be blessed.”
