Eid-el-Kabir, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, holds great significance in the Islamic calendar as it commemorates the devotion and obedience of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to Allah’s command. This festive occasion symbolizes the spirit of sacrifice, unity, and compassion, while fostering a sense of brotherhood among Muslims worldwide.
Adeyeri in his congratulatory message to Muslim faithful, on Wednesday, emphasized the importance of unity and harmonious coexistence among all Nigerians, regardless of religious or ethnic backgrounds.
He also acknowledged the immense contributions of the muslims to the social, economic, and cultural development of Ondo State
“Their steadfast devotion, resilience, and commitment to their faith serve as a source of inspiration for us all. This festival provides an opportunity for reflection, gratitude, and the renewal of faith, while reinforcing the values of love, generosity, and kindness towards one another”
“In the spirit of Eid-el-Kabir, I urge all Muslim faithful to remember the less privileged in society and extend a helping hand to those in need. Through acts of charity and benevolence, we can make a positive impact on the lives of others, fostering a sense of togetherness and unity”
“It is important for everyone to embrace peaceful coexistence, tolerance, and understanding, as these are the key ingredients for a prosperous and harmonious society. Let us celebrate this festive occasion with joy and gratitude, while also committing ourselves to building a future that upholds the principles of justice, equality, and respect for all.
