The Kwara Government says it has fully paid for the common entrance examination fees for pupils going into Junior Secondary School in the 16 local government areas of the state.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Press Secretary, state Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, Mr Peter Amogbonjaye, on Sunday in Ilorin.
The statement read in part: “This is to inform the general public that the common entrance into Junior Secondary School across the 16 Local Government Areas of the State is scheduled to hold on Saturday, 19th August, 2023, beginning from 8 a.m. prompt.
“The Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development cautions Headmasters/Principals against collecting any money from pupils or their parents.
“Any headmaster/principal caught in such unlawful act will be sanctioned accordingly.
“The Ministry also advises pupils to prepare for the examination as no form of malpractice will be tolerated.” (NAN)
