As the 2024 governorship election in Edo state gets underway, Senator Monday Okpebholo, the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC ) has cast his vote.
Okpebholo cast his vote at polling unit 1, Ward 2 in Udomi Primary School, Udomi, Irrua, Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State.
Electoral officers and materials are said to have arrived in good time for voting to commence.
Speaking, Okpebholo said the exercise was well coordinated and lauded INEC for its efficiency especially as observed in his ward.
No fewer than 2.2 million registered voters are eligible to cast their ballots for the candidate of their choice.
Prompt News reports that there are heavy security presence across the state to ensure a hitch-free voting exercise.
