Dr Bishop Akhalamhe, the governorship candidate of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in Edo, has announced Dr Joyce Idubor as his running mate for the Sept. 21 election.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the governorship candidate presented Idubor at the party secretariat in Benin on Tuesday.
NAN also reports that idubor is a pastor and an educationist.
Speaking during the event to announce Idubor, Akhalamhe said that the process of choosing her was all -inclusive, adding that party members agreed to the decision.
He said that the nomination of Idubor was borne out of the fact that the party was gender sensitive .
“Today I have picked a female deputy governorship candidate in the person of Dr Joyce Olamilayo Idubor
” I believe she will add value to our ticket and the party.

” And I appeal to women in the party and in the entire state to support us so that, together we can contribute to the development of our state,” he said.
According to him, Edo will experience good governance when the party takes over the mantle of leadership in the state. (NAN)
