ABUJA – By Akeem Oyetunji The Department of State Services (DSS) in a memo to the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami, has again justified its submission that the acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr Ibrahim Magu, is not credible.
Prompt News recalls that the initial report from the Secret Police, DSS to the Senate had nailed Mr. Magu.
The Senate for the second time last week had relied on the DSS report to the Red Chamber to decline confirmation of Magu as substantive EFCC boss.
The DSS memo to AGF Malami, which has been leaked to the media was obtained Friday afternoon by Prompt News Online via email.
According to the memo signed by one Folashade Bello, on behalf of the Director General, DSS, the AGF was informed that Magu, who is romancing people of ‘questionable’ character like Air Commodore Mohammed Umar (rtd), could continue to exploit his position for personal gains if confirmed as EFCC chairman.
We produced below, the scanned copies of the DSS memo to the AGF.
