The Chairman of FCT FA, Mohammed Mouktar Adam has warned the Super Eagles not to underrate the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone in their nation’s cup qualifier bill for Sunday at Samuel Doe Stadium ,Monrovia.
Mouktar made this remark while chanting with Journalists at the NFF Secretariat after his meeting with the Federation’s President Ibrahim Musa Gusau, stating that Nigeria parades known foreign based players that can stand test of time any hour they are called to duty, adding though in modern day football no country is a push over.
He said the super eagles must take their chances in Sierra Leone.
“In Football, no country is a push over and the smallest nation you think it would be a walk over will be the one that can create upset. Remember our World Cup qualifier against Black Stars of Ghana when we believed it would be an easy game but got eliminated. Guinea also did the same thing to our national teams at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja,”Mouktar stated
The seasoned Football Administrator further stated that Super Eagles know winning is not an option and any thing short of victory, Nigerians will not forgive the players regarded right now among the world best.
He also added “player like Victor OsihMEN considered to be the Africa best must show that his performance at Napoli was not a fluke. ”
