The Ekiti State Director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mr Bankole Fadahunsi has urged Ekiti residents to prepare themselves for the COVID-19 vaccines, describing it as harmless.
Fadahunsi made the disclosure on Friday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ado-Ekiti.
According to him, COVID -19 vaccine is harmless and won’t change the genetic composition of human beings.
“The vaccine is safe. Please, disregard the fake news on social media that it will damage the organs of the body.
“Some say that the vaccine is to reduce the population of the nation; all these myths are not true but to make people scared of the vaccines,” he said.
He said that the World Health Organization (WHO) had done a lot of research on the vaccine and certified it to be safe, with no adverse effect.
“I, therefore, implore people to make themselves available for the vaccine for the safety of their health.
“We are calling on all traditional rulers, markets women, drivers union, okada riders and religion leaders to make themselves available for the vaccine,” he said. (NAN)
