The prayers on the lips of all are for the Coronavirus Pandemic to come to an end and fast too. However, wishes are not horses. We are however hopeful that Almighty will address the issue appropriately and for the betterment of humanity in due course.
The Communal nature of Islam is usually and always coming to the fore during Ramadan.
The Wealthy mingles with the Rich, while the rich mingles with the not so rich. The not so rich mingles with the ones down the ladder.
Ramadan is an occasion that bridges the gap between and among human being. The Majid (Mosque) becomes the epicenter of social, educational and religious practices. It brings many family and friends in the neighbourhood together in humility and without airs.
Ramadan oh Ramadan, the month of forgiveness, the month of mercy.
That this year’s Ramadan will not be that communal especially as the world contend with #COVID-19 is not in doubt, unless Allah s.w.t decides to use His Izzah and hear the cries of the pious ones among us, we pray by His Izzah to do this for us and bring our world to order. Aameen
The Family will now ensure the first centre of socialisation is allowed to serve that purpose with efficiency and candour.
This year’s Ramadan will be back to the Fundamentals.
Join me in series 003 as we discussed the Fundamentals of Islam in the early life of Muslims.
