An appeal has gone to residents of Otun-Ekiti in Moba Local Government Area on Friday to always engage in proper hygiene and “stay safe” to avoid contracting Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The Chairman of the local government area, Mr Michael Aborisade, made the appeal in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Otun-Ekiti.
Aborisade maintained it was no more news that Nigerians has started contracting the virus because some of them never considered it dangerous to their health until they encountered it.
He urged the residents to always abide by all the preventive measures to keep their families safe and healthy.
“I want to appeal to all the residents in Otun Ekiti and communities under Moba local government area that they should always maintain proper hygiene in their various homes.
“COVID-19 is real and is not a toy for anybody to play with; it is not for the rich or for the poor alone, it is capable of killing anybody who fails to take safety precautions.
“I want to urge the youths, parents and leaders in the community to always wear their nose mask and always use hand sanitisers to keep their families safe during this period,” he said.
Aborisade, therefore, assured them that his administration would continue to give priority to the wellbeing and safety of the people in the community. (NAN)
