A Makurdi Magistrates’ Court on Thursday ordered that a farmer, Terhemen Ikyav, be remanded in a correctional centre for alleged murder.
The police charged Ikyav with criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide.
The Magistrate, Mr Vincent Kor, did not take the plea of Ikyav for want in jurisdiction.
Kor further directed the police to return the case file to the Benue Director of Public Prosecutions for legal advice.
He adjourned the case until July 26 for further mention.
Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, Insp Ato Godwin told the court that the case was reported by Aondohemba Banger of Akuraga Settlement Buruku L.G.A Benue on April 20.
Ato told the court that the complainant reported that his brother, Fanen, 32 who is a motorcyclist, was missing.

He said investigation into the matter is still ongoing and prayed the court for an adjournment.
