An Ikeja Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday ordered that a 45-year-old man, Haruna Olatayo be remanded in Kirikiri Maximum Correctional Centre for allegedly defiing a 13-year-old girl.
Chief Magistrates’ E. Kubeinje, did not take the plea of Olatayo.
Kubeinje adjourned the case until Feb. 28 for trial.
The Prosecutor, DSP Kehinde Ajayi told the court that Olatayo committed the offence sometime in October 2023, at Oseni Salawu Street, Agric Road, Igando, Lagos.

Ajayi submitted the offence contravenes the provisions of Section 137 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.
The section states that anyone who has unlawful sexual intercourse with a child is guilty of a felony and is liable to life imprisonment. (NAN)
