A delegate representing retired police officers at the national conference, Abubakar Abdulmumini, Tuesday collapsed.
The incident occurred as he emerged from the auditorium after the close of plenary for the day at the National Judicial Institute, Abuja.
Prompt News recalls that a female delegate, Ezenwa Ifeanyinwa, slumped recently while returning to the auditorium after taking lunch.
It was prompt response by security operatives around that saved the situation as they quickly rushed him into an ambulance.
The delegate, Abubakar, is a former Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) and Commissioner of Police in Borno State.
Meanwhile, there was near fisticuffs between the security agencies and photo-journalists as the latter attempted to take the photograph of the ailing delegate.
In the process, the camera of photographer with the union newspapers was smashed by an unidentified female civil defence officer.
