A 36-year-old civil servant, Moses Saka was docked in an Upper Area Court Gwagwalada, Abuja for allegedly using ‘juju’ on four-year-old girl.
The police charged Saka and Joseph, at large with criminal conspiracy and unlawful juju.
The Prosecution Vounsel, Abdullahi Tanko, told the court that the complainant Mr Labaran Dikko of Gosa village, Abuja reported the matter at the police station on Dec. 16, 2022.
Tanko said that the defendant conspired to perform juju on his four-year-old daughter.
He said that during police investigation the defendant confessed that the native doctor performed the ritual in his house (defendant’s house).
The prosecutor said that the offence contravened the provisions of sections 97 and 216 of the Penal Code.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Judge, Malam Abdulkarim Abdullahi, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N500,000 with one reasonable surety in like sum.
Abdullahi said that the surety must reside within the FCT and adjourned the case until March 16 for hearing. (NAN)
