It was a moment of joy, relief and entertainment as many resident of Federal Capital Territory stormed Abuja National Stadium in thousands at the weekend to witness the arrays of legend players all over the world as well as Nigerian entertainers dazzled Attom Foundation football Champions Charity Cup final.
Likes of former Arsenal of England star, Emmanuel Ebue, former Chelsea of England star, Claude Makelele, comedians, AY, Sabinus and Broda Shaggy were on ground to add glamour to the event.
Also notable music stars like Tiwa Savage, Wande Cool, and several other top celebrities graced the occasion.
The Charity Cup was organized by the Attom Foundation to raise funds and awareness to support eye care treatment for at least 10,000 Nigerians, particularly the elderly, affected by vision problems such as refractive errors, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, and glaucoma.
At the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Team Attom thrashed Team Celebrity 4-1 to emerge the winner of inaugural edition of Attom Charity Champions cup.
Super Eagles star, Kelechi Iheancho, the hero of Saturday’s game was a thorn in the defence of the opposing team that was led by former Super Eagles captain, Jay Jay Okocha. His effort saw him score a brace and creating the penalty.
Jay Jay Okocha team paraded several current and former Super Eagles players in addition to other former international football stars in their midst. The team had the likes of Ahmed Musa, Samuel Chukwueze, Kenneth Omerou, former South African, Mark Fish to mention but a few. READ ALSO:
