Nigeria winger Samuel Chukwueze expressed satisfaction with his contribution in AC Milan’s victory over Club Brugge.
Paulo Fonseca’s side recorded their first win in the UEFA Champions League this season, edging past their Belgian opponent 3-1.
Chukwueze registered an assist in the keenly contested encounter.
The 25-year-old set up Tijjani Reijnders for AC Milan’s third goal of the evening.
“It’s a great moment, having this confidence. I’ve had a difficult month and scoring, finding an assist is a great feeling and gives me confidence,” he said after the game.
“Very very important for the team and for the club. We won and we have the chance to climb the table.”
He also shared his thoughts ahead of Milan’s next game against defending champions Real Madrid.
“I hope to win against Madrid, it’s important to gain points in the standings. But now the most important thing is to focus on the next match, against Bologna,” added the former Villarreal star.
