The Cycling Federation of Nigeria, CFN has named its team to this year’s International Cycling Union, UCI Championships as well as the Commonwealth Youth Games holding next month in Glasgow, Scotland and Trinidad and Tobago respectively.
Technical Director of the Federation, Bashir Mohammed who disclosed this Sunday said five female cyclists namely Ese Ukpeseraye, Tombrapa Grikpa, Mary Samuel, Grace Ayuba and Patience Otuodung Effiong have be selected for the Glasgow Championship.
“While Ese Ukpeseraye, Mary Samuel, Grace Ayuba, Tombrapa Grikpa will be representing Nigeria in the UCI World Cycling Championships in the Track and Road events, Patience Otuodung Effiong will be taking part in the Junior category in the ITT and Road Race”, Mohammed said. READ ALSO:

He added that, “One of our para-cyclists, Tijani Abdullahi will be taking part in the Class B category also in the UCI World Para-cycling Championships in Glasgow Scotland from 2nd to 14th of August, 2023”.
The lone Para-cyclist, the technical director disclosed, will be piloted by Ajibade Qodri in the Tendam Class B in ITT and Road Race.
According to Mohamed, “two junior cyclists namely Marvelous Roseline Olawale and Aishat Arogundade will be representing the country at the Commonwealth Youth Games coming in up in Trinidad and Tobago from 3rd to 12th of August 2023”.
