Edo Queens lost third position to Egypt’s FC Masar at the 2024 WAFU Women’s Champions League, Prompt News reports.
Moses Aduku’s side fell 4-3 on penalties to their opponent in the third-place match.
Both teams could not be separated after 90 minutes of gruelling action.
Edo Queens thus pocketed $300,000 in prize money as the team who finished fourth, while Masar earned $350,000.
Both teams were making their debuts in the competition.
Hosts AS FAR of Morocco and TP Mazembe of Democratic Republic of Congo will clash in the final on Saturday.
