Edo Queens head coach Moses Aduku has highlighted the positives from his team’s outing at the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League.
The Nigerian champions finished fourth in the competition after going down 4-3 to penalities against FC Masar of Egypt in the third-place match on Friday night.
The debutants won two, drawn one and lost two games at the competition.
Aduku said the lesson learnt from the competition will help his team in future.
“We have learnt our lessons. We started very well but went down without scoring goals at the critical stage of the tournament,” he told the club’s media.
“We are going back to the drawing board to work on our deficiency. I am not happy that we were not scoring.. We learnt a lot and next time I am sure we will do better.
“This is our first time. The teams and tournament not too much for us, just that our plans did not work. Next time we are going to be better”.
