In a show of solidarity for the President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Melvin Pinnick who is seeking for election into the prestigious FIFA Council, the General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi has arrived Rabat, Morocco ahead of Friday’s CAF elections.
Sanusi, who will cast Nigeria’s vote in conjunction with Pinnick during the CAF elections in Rabat left Nigeria on Monday aboard Royal Moroccan carrier, Air Maroc.
He confirmed the trip Monday at NFF’s Sunday Dankaro House, Parkage B, Abuja National Stadium. He said he has to be on ground early to support Pinnick and to attend some pre-elections meetings which normally take place before the election day.
Meanwhile, the Federal Government delegation which will be led by the Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Sunday Dare will hit Morocco tomorrow (Wednesday).
Prompt News gathered from a reliable source who is also on the trip that the government delegation will depart Abuja on Wednesday, March 10, aboard a private aircraft provided by a good spirited Nigerian as part of his support for Pinnick’s candidacy.
Although it may not be wrong for the government delegation to fly to Morocco in one of the Presidential Aircraft as it is the tradition in other climes.
