By Gracious Akujobi Nigeria League Champions, Kano Pillars have moved into close camping ahead of their Confederation of Africa (CAF) champions’ league match against AS Vita this weekend in Kinshasa, Congo.
The Club’s spokesman, Idris Malikawa, who confirmed this to Prompt News Online, said the team entered close camping in Samir Palace Hotel Kano on Tuesday night ahead of their first leg CAF match.
Abba Yola, the club chairman charged them to be focused on the challenges ahead. He confirmed the team will leave Mallam Aminu Kano international airport on Friday aboard a chartered plane to Kinshasa to honor the match.
The team’s Captain, Afelokhai Theophilus, assured that they would do well at the CAF Champions’ league and the Nigeria premier league.
Meanwhile, Rabiu Ali who played in the just concluded CHAN tournament in South Africa has joined his team mates in camp.
Two other players Shehu Abdullahi and Umar Zango who were also part of the CHAN team are expected to hit the camp later on Wednesday.
