Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has congratulated Rivers United for securing a place in the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Stanley Eguma’s side defeated Etoile Filante of Burkina Faso 2-0 in the second leg of their CAF Confederation Cup second tie at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt on Sunday.
The Pride of Rivers won the contest 2-0 on aggregate.
Alex Oyowah scored twice in the close stages of the game after Rivers United earlier missed two penalties.
Peseiro took to his X handle to celebrate the former Nigeria Professional Football League champions.

Rivers United are the only Nigerian club, who made it to the group stage of a continental club competition this season.
