Ademola Lookman’s father has thanked soccer loving Nigerians for their overwhelming support.
Lookman was crowned Africa’s best player at the 2024 CAF Awards ceremony in Marrakech, Morocco on Monday night.
The Atalanta star became the sixth Nigerian to win the prestigious award.
“I just want to thank everybody for their prayers, for their support and favourable comments,” he told live score.
“I thank them all, and I want to thank Almighty God as well.”
The proud father then used the opportunity to send words of advice to up coming players who want to achieve great things like his son.
“I want to tell the younger ones coming up that they should please focus on their dreams, and they will get there,” he calmly assured.
