Victor Boniface fired home the decisive goal as Bayer Leverkusen rallied to beat Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 at the Bay Arena on Saturday.
Boniface missed the chance to give Bayer Leverkusen the lead on nine minutes after failing to convert from the penalty spot.
The Nigeria international however atoned for that miss by scoring the winning goal for the hosts 16 minutes from time.
It was the powerful striker’s fifth Bundesliga goal of the season.
The 23-year-old has now scored 19 goals and made 10 assists in 30 Bundesliga games for Die Werkself.
His international teammate Nathan Tella featured as a substitute against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Tella took the place of Jeremie Frimpong 10 minutes from time.
