Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki emerged the winner of Kwara Central Senatorial Ticket under the platform of All Progressive Congress in a violence free primary election.
Saraki,who is currently representing Kwara Central at the National Assembly won the ticket to contest the seat second time with 1540 votes in the primary election held today in Ilorin.
Speaking after the electoral process, Saraki described the victory as a demonstration of people’s confidence and trust in his leadership.
“I am grateful to all delegates for the support shown; today’s massive support for me demonstrates the huge confidence you all have in my leadership, and I promise to remain steadfast and committed to the development of this constituency, Kwara and Nigeria at large” he said.
Further speaking, Saraki charged the delegates to translate their support during the primary election into votes come February 2015.
He tasked them on mobilizing more support for All Progressive Congress across the grassroots and encouraged them to vote massively for APC.
