President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo spoke on phone on Sunday night.
According to the Media Aide to the Vice President, Laolu Akande, the President and his Vice reviewed local and other developments.
He said they also spoke about the situation in Gambia, where Nigerian troops are playing a leading role in resolving the fallouts of that country’s presidential election.
“Both the President, who is on vacation and the Vice President in Abuja also discussed other pertinent national issues,” Akande said.
Prompt News recalls that President Buhari left the country for United Kingdom on January 19, 2017 to spend his vacation.
Presidential Media Adviser, Femi Adesina, in a statement said Mr Buhari, will also attend to his health while in the UK.
A couple of days ago, it was rumoured that Mr Buhari was dead in a German hospital.
In a quick reaction, Senior Presidential Media Aide, Garba Shehu, via his Twitter handle dispelled the death rumour, backing it up with the President’s photograph relaxing in his apartment in the UK.
