LONDON – By Omobolaji Oyegunle
On Sunday, July, 23, 2017, the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress and some APC Governors had lunch with President Muhammadu Buhari at Abuja House in London.
In the delegation were Governors of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha; Kaduna, Nasir El-Rufai; Nasarawa, Umar Tanko Al-Makura; Yahaya Bello, Kogi and MInister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.
When news filtered in that another set of Governors including those of the opposition PDP will also be visiting the President on Tuesday, our correspondent in London, OMOBOLAJI OYEGUNLE, went to Abuja House, where the President has been residing for about 81 days now to cover the arrival of the governors.
By 11.50am, he got to Abuja House located in the posh Campden Hill, Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in West London.
However, as at 3.35pm when our correspondent left the area, the governors were yet to arrive.
Our man gathered that the President has not been admitted in any hospital since he arrived London on May 7 for a follow-up treatment.
“I gathered here that the Doctors only come to treat him in the building early in the morning.
“I also learnt that the President would be brought back into the country before 90 days,” Oyegunle said.
Prompt News recalls that President Buhari first left the country on January 19 on a 10-day medical vacation and returned in March.
On May 7, he left again for follow-up checks with his doctors but announced that his return would be indefinite.
Since he left, his Vice, Prof Yemi Osinbajo has been functioning as Acting President.
