President Muhammadu Buhari Tuesday afternoon in Akure performed the official launch of the Ondo-Linyi Industrial Hub located along the busy Ore- Benin- Shagamu Expressway.
The Ondo-Linyi Industrial Hub which is the signature development projects of Araokunri Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu is an industrial estate which has clusters of industries like Automobile Assembly plant, Ethanol production industry, Paper Mill Factory, Winery and Nigeria’s 1st MDF factory producing medium, high density fibres and Marine Boards as well as Textile company producing lace fabrics and threads.
Speaking at the event, President Buhari commended the foresight, hardwork and commitment of Gov. Akeredolu, adding that the Governor’s ideas have materialized.
The President also congratulated the government and people of Ondo state for the landmark achievement, assuring that the Federal Government will support the state in anyway possible.
He also said that his optimistic that the industries will utilise the local raw materials in their production lines.
Earlier in his welcome address an elated Gov. Akeredolu said that the people of Ondo state and indeed all Nigerians will benefit immensely from the industrialization policy of his government.
According to him by the commissioning of the Ondo-Linyi Industrial Hub todayin Ore, his government is fulfilling our promise of industrializing our state.
Already some of the industries in the cluster have started production even as long trucks carrying cassava tubers for the production of ethanol were seen waiting to offload their consignments at the factory.
