President Muhammadu Buhari is alive and well, the Presidency said late Saturday, in reaction to rumours that the President was dead.
It was rumoured that President Buhari, had died in Germany.
He left Nigeria on Thursday, January 19 for United Kingdom on a 10-day vacation.
However, the Presidency in a statement said he would attend to his health by going for medical check-ups during the vacation.
Debunking the death rumour, the Senior Special Asistant to President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, on his Twitter Handle @Garshehu said Mr Buhari is well and alive.
“Buhari is alive and well! President Buhari is not magical.
He cannot be holidaying in the UK & be in Germany, dead or alive at the same time.
” He is unlike a past President who was at Ota, w/ Chief Obj and attending the Trump inauguration in D.C, being in two places at the same time!,” Mr Shehu tweeted mocking former President Goodluck Jonathan.
