By Olusegun Lawrence. Nigerian Senate on Wednesday, summoned the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, over the recent raid of Abuja residence of Senator Danjuma Gone by police personnel.
The summon was sequel to a Point of Order raised by Senator Goje, who chairs the Senate Committee on Finance and Appropriation.
Goje said many files including those that are crucial to the passage of 2017 budget and laptops were taken away during the raid that lasted for about four hours.
He also narrated to his colleagues how the police traumatised his family during the operation.
As at press time, IGP Idris is still meeting with the deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu on the matter.
