The Nigeria Police Force has successfully rescued the wife of former Assistant Inspector General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu.
This was confirmed by the Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, on his official X account on Thursday morning.
According to Adejobi, the kidnappers were neutralized during the operation, and the ransom they collected was also recovered by the police.
Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, commended the efforts of the operatives involved, alongside the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, for their swift and effective action.
Mrs. Odumosu was reportedly abducted last Thursday at the entrance of her residence in the Arepo area of Ogun State.
