The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abubakar Audu has emerged winner of the Kogi state governorship election held on Saturday, November 21, 2015.
Mr. Audu polled a total of 240, 867 votes following the collation of election results from the 21 Local Government Areas of the state.
His closest rival, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and incumbent Governor Idris Wada, only managed to win in five Councils and garnered a total of199, 514 votes.
Mr. Audu was elected and served as Governor of Kogi state from 1999 to 2003.
