Ibrahim Shekarau, a former Governor of Kano State has dumped the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
He has consequently rejoined the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, which he left in 2014 ahead of the 2015 general elections.
Disclosing this early Tuesday morning on Freedom Radio, Sule Ya’U Sule, an aide to the former Governor said PDP lacks ‘internal democracy’ hence, his principal decided to return to APC.
He added that the decision to dump PDP was reached after extensive debate with his supporters.
Sule also cited the dissolution of Kano State executive committee of the PDP without regards to court order restraining such as a major reason for Shekarau’s decision.
